Sanctuary Serengeti Migration Camp
The Serengeti houses an abundance of wildlife. It is home to the millions of wildebeest, Thomson's gazelle and Zebra between late October and August. Another great time to visit the Serengeti is between December and March, because the plains are green and lush after the short rains in November and the animals are well fed and prepared for the calving season in February. At this time, the wildebeest migration should be in the southern plains of the Serengeti, and young cubs and calves can be spotted early in the year. Big game such as lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, and elephant, as well as giraffes, impala, gazelle, and zebra are abundant and can be spotted on safari in Tanzania year round.
